Video Game School?
Ran into this article while going through my Ed Tech professor's (Dr. Robert Leneway) blog for an assignment. This would have been my dream school, and it would be totally awesome to teach here, too. I'm currently using CompassLearning's Odyssey program with students who seem to have underachieved on their MEAP math scores, but it would be neat if instead of turning to technology like this when there's a problem, we could turn to it to prevent the problem. The jury seems to still be out on this particular school, at least at the time of this article, but there seems to be some potential here. Or at least I want there to be potential. I would love to play video games for a living.

OMG! Twitter!
So after leaving this blog to rot for almost 6 months, I've decided to resurrect and slightly re-purpose it as something to follow me the rest of the way through my Ed Tech masters program (assuming I can keep myself in education long enough to finish it.) Said program has forced me into joining Twitter, which until now I had sought to avoid like the plague. The blow was softened by watching a very good presentation about the possible uses for Twitter in education, as well as regular life uses that are more than inane drivel. I'll endeavor to not let that shrivel and die like I almost did to this blog, and hopefully I will also be able to tweet responsibly.
PS: No, I will not be posting my Twitter account name here, not that it would be that hard for anyone to find it anyway.
